Mission
AIR is working to effect criminal justice reform by providing professional, comprehensive investigative services to low-income or indigent citizens accused or convicted of felony-level crimes, for which they are claiming Actual Innocence. By supporting exoneration efforts, AIR will provide data, evidence and education on the deficiencies of the current system, and thereby build support for reform. Learn more about our story.
Services
Case Review
A wrongfully convicted person soon realizes how difficult it is to get the justice system's attention. AIR is listening. If the claim is one of Actual Innocence, we will conduct a review of the case for possible further investigation.
|
Investigation
If the case is vetted and approved by our review board, our investigators will conduct a comprehensive investigation of the circumstances surrounding the case. No stone will be left un-turned, and if there is exculpatory evidence, we will find it.
|
Support Exoneration
If our investigation uncovers evidence that supports exoneration, AIR will continue to work with the family and/or attorneys, until all possibilities are exhausted, or the wrongfully imprisoned person is free.
